The 47th Anniversary

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS MEMORIAL

On August 24th, the United States Marine Corps Memorial Foundation proudly celebrated its 47th anniversary with a memorable event that brought together veterans, families, and supporters. The evening was marked by a special performance from patriotic rock artist Dave Bray USA, whose heartfelt tributes to American heroes resonated deeply with the audience. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests of honor, including Iwo Jima survivors Jim Blane and Al Jennings, and Medal of Honor recipient Drew Dix. Their stories of bravery and sacrifice served as a poignant reminder of the courage and dedication of the United States Marine Corps and an inspiration to the future generations to come.

Despite recent challenges, including vandalism at the memorial, the event was a huge success. Volunteers worked tirelessly to clean and restore the monument, demonstrating the community’s resilience and dedication. Their efforts ensured that the memorial was in the best condition possible for the anniversary celebration.
